Angela Sinclair Moulin, Director
Angela is the Director of the Kansas City Bikram's Yoga College of India.
A native of Kansas, she was raised on a free-range farm in the southeast corner of the state. After spending fifteen years behind the hairdresser's chair and after the death of her brother, she sought yoga. Angela knew after her first class that Bikram's method was the her key for better health, love, and life.
As she become more passionate with her practice and Bikram's method, she attended his certification training in the spring of 2003. She taught for Elizabeth Marshall in Lawrence, Kansas at the Bikram's Yoga College of India for three years. She re-certified with Bikram Choudhury in the summer of 2006.
Angela considers herself to be passionate, patient and faithful to her practice and her teaching. She enjoys spending time with her husband Shawn and their two children, daughter Alex and son William. She enjoys traveling, nature, and water sports. |

Jessica Johnson
Jessica Johnson began her yoga practice in 2002 and immediately knew she would be doing Bikram yoga for the rest of her life. The sequence of postures made sense in her body and the challenge was unlike any other workout she had experienced. The combination of cleansing for body and mind and an intense workout and stretch make it unique and addictive, and because of Bikram Yoga’s powerful healing benefits, Jessica was drawn to this yoga specifically. Jessica chose to join her love of teaching with the love of her yoga practice and by the fall of 2003 she was a certified Bikram Yoga instructor.
“Bikram Yoga challenges me like nothing else- every single time. The discipline has taught me to calm down, observe, and work hard for myself.”
Jessica feels that while it is the connection to the sequence, the dialogue, and the postures that a teacher learns in training, the connection developed with the students is what makes a teacher great. Jessica gets the most benefit from supporting others in Bikram Yoga.
“It is so amazing to be surrounded by people who are taking responsibility for their lives, finding healing and balance. I truly believe that when the time is right, and only then, Bikram Yoga will be able to heal you, too.” |

Suzzy Lasker

My name is Jeri Suzanne Lasker and I am the newest and youngest addition to Bikram Yoga of Kansas City. I have found teaching of this yoga from my love for being healthy and happy and wish to have yoga as a part of my life forever.
I was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado and my home studio is Bikram Yoga Basalt, Co. I was introduced to the yoga at the age of 10 by my mother Kellee Morris, who is a Bikram yoga teacher as well. With that said I can honestly say that I didn’t come to truly take the yoga seriously until I was about 17 years old when Angela Sinclair opened her lovely studio in March of 2007.
After about 3 consecutive years of practice I had made up my mind that I wanted to be a Bikram Yoga teacher and help carry out this wonderful prescription to health and happiness to everyone I could.
I was a college student at UMKC when I made the decision to take a semester off of school to attend the Bikram Yoga teacher training of the Fall of 2009. The training was the hardest thing I ever did in my entire life, really pushing me physically, mentally and spiritually to be the best person I could. I completed the training in December at the age of 21, and decided to come back to good ol' Kansas City, my home, where I belong.
So who am I without the yoga? I am a yoga nerd 100%. I think this yoga is for everyone and everything. In my free time I can be seen at UMKC studying for my BA in Business emphasis Marketing and BA in Economics with my Minor in Spanish. I love to have fun, and live life fully. People who know me would describe me as bubbly, full of life and the only blonde brunette they know. I love to travel, meditate, learn new things, be in nature, and be with positive people. My goal in this life is to be happy and healthy and do what I love to do. My favorite posture is Standing Bow (Dandayamana Dhanurasana) and my least favorite is Triangle (Trikanasana). If you have any more questions… ask me! -NAMASTE-

Mollie Glicksburg
I began my practice in February of 2006 at the studio in Chico, CA. It was my soaking wet roommate who blurted words like hot room, 90 minutes, intense, and amazing as she rummaged through the fridge. Curious at such an interesting combo of concepts I said “I want to go!” I needed a cardio workout that would keep me interested and in shape and I was tired of going to the gym and of having to buy gym shoes. To this day I have not stepped foot in a gym, my gym shoes are long gone and I’ve never felt or looked better.
I knew I wanted this yoga to be in my life forever after I moved to Napa, CA. I worked full time and traveled 30 minutes each way to Sonoma, CA to practice. It never felt like a chore. I wanted to practice all the time and learn as much as I could about the yoga and Bikram himself. I completed training in the fall 2007. It was the hardest and best thing I have ever done for myself.
Originally from the KC area, I happily moved back in July 2008. I am thrilled and honored to be here at Bikram’s Yoga Kansas City. It makes me proud to be a part of a wonderful team of instructors, but moreover, the practitioners make teaching such a valuable experience. With Bengal Tiger strength and Bull Dog determination I get to witness the practitioners’ transformations. What an honor! |

Angela Handley
Angela first started practicing Bikram Yoga in 2002 and went to the Teacher Training in 2004. She recertified at Bikram's Advanced Seminar in Hawaii in 2007.
"I knew immediately after my first Bikram Yoga class that I wanted to be a teacher and practice this yoga for the rest of my life."
Since that first class, Angela has never turned back. Now, after having lived and taught in Lawrence, KS, Singapore, and San Francisco she is excited to be a part of the team here in Kansas City.
"Bikram Yoga has changed every aspect of my life in a positive way. I am strong, flexible, feel great physically and mentally, sleep soundly, and it is all thanks to this yoga."
Angela represented Kansas at the International Yoga Competition in 2003 and 2006. She has worked to learn Bikram's advanced class both to strengthen her own practice and to have a better understanding of the human body in yoga postures. She is skilled at helping all levels of practitioners find their best expression of the posture and therefore gain the therapeutic benefits. This yoga class is a holistic approach to your health. Prepare to work hard and challenge yourself physically and mentally.
Angela's class is upbeat, steady, and spirited. She encourages people to move past their comfort zone and reach their full potential. Besides yoga, Angela enjoys being in the outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, sewing, reading, and spending time with her dog Jack, cat Leo, and husband Chris. |

Aliya Levine
Aliya has been practicing various styles of Hatha Yoga since her introduction in 1997. Through yoga she slowly started to abandon the practices of a reckless youth, replacing them with healthier life choices.
In 2002 she began practicing Bikram yoga and completed the teacher certification in 2003.
In addition to her Bikram training, she has studied intensively with Acharya Venkatesha at The Atma Vikasa Center for Yogic Sciences in Mysore, India and with a number of senior teachers at Kripalu in Lenox, Massachusetts. Drawing from a variety of teaching experiences, trainings, and a background in classical ballet, Aliya's classes are challenging, supportive, encouraging, and alignment-focused. She loves the discipline in Bikram yoga and truiy believes every effort put forth on the mat carries over into our lives 'off' the mat. Yoga is a tool to gain better health, greater confidence, better focus and a sense of determination.
Bikram yoga is for all abilities and body types. It's not just for the fit and flexible! Everyone can reap tremendous physical and emotional benefits of a dedicated practice. Aliya's goal is to create a welcoming environment for all to enjoy those benefits of a dedicated Bikram yoga practice. |
